Arachnophobia

Arachnophobia (1990) Referring to the fear of spiders, Arachnophobia features a particularly deadly species of spider that manages to make its way from the Venezuelan rain forest to a small California town, thanks to the many oversights of entomologist Julian Sands. Yuppie doctor Jeff Daniels, fed up with the dangers inherent in big-city living, has resettled in this town on the assumption that nothing untoward could ever happen here to himself and his family. Before long, however, Daniels is trying to make sense of a series of sudden deaths-and to figure out why each of the corpses has been drained of blood. The audience, of course, knows that the culprits are those pesky South American spiders, which grow larger with each kill. To make matters worse, Jeff Daniels suffers from a profound case of arachnophobia. John Goodman supports the cast as a slovenly exterminator, and Frank Marshall, longtime producer of Steven Spielberg's films, makes his directorial debut in Arachnophobia.~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

The Artist

The Artist (2011) Hollywood, 1927: As silent movie star George Valentin wonders if the arrival of talking pictures will cause him to fade into oblivion, he sparks with Peppy Miller, a young dancer set for a big break.

Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves

Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves (1997) In this direct-to-video second sequel to "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," scientist Wayne Szalinsky accidentally shrinks himself, his wife, his brother and his sister-in-law. His brother's kids, thinking their parents have gone on a weekend vacation, act just like kids left at home alone, while the grown-ups ride Hot-Wheels and try to avoid being squished.

Life Stinks

Life Stinks (1991) In 'Life Stinks', Goddard Bolt, a billionaire developer, is challenged by business rival Vance Crasswell to live on the streets without money for one month among the homeless both men are trying to further displace by building on the property that is their only home. Goddard is forced to dance for his money, avoid turf wars, develop survival tactics, live in a cardboard box, and more. But along the way, he makes valuable friends among the street people who teach him that life is not about owning material items but about the integrity of the human spirit. One of these is bag lady Molly, who, in one of the most inspired moments of the film, dances with Goddard in a dilapidated building to the strains of Cole Porter's Easy To Love. It is humanistic moments such as this one that makes what could have been a silly movie into a film more reminiscent of Brooks's madcap but poignant films such as 'Young Frankenstein'.

Encounter In The 3rd Dimension

Encounter In The 3rd Dimension (1999) Encounter in the Third Dimension is a groundbreaking venture into the realm of 3-D filmaking. Using CGI technology to its maximum potential, 3-D sight gags abound in this thrilling presentation that intergrates computer generated imagery and live action to explore the history of 3-D photography and 3-D motion pictures.

Fatal Attraction

Fatal Attraction (1987) While his wife (Anne Archer) and daughter are out of town, successful attorney Dan Gallagher (Michael Douglas) has a one-night stand with Alex Forrest (Glenn Close), the publishing executive he has just met. He has no idea what he's getting into. Immediately after the encounter, Dan wants to put the experience behind him, but Alex refuses to let go of their relationship. Driven to madness by his rejection, she turns to violently harassing both Dan and his family. This terrifying morality play, which takes the consequences of infidelity to new heights of horror, became one of 1987's biggest box-office successes.

Mannequin - On the Move
